Based in Costa Rica, our group integrates microbiology, genomics, metabolomics and natural products chemistry for the study of actinomycetes and their specialised metabolism.
Our group organised the first Costa Rican symposium on metabolomics. The event seeks to bring together people from academia and government working on topics related to metabolomics. The event was a success and aims to be the first step toward consolidating the Costa Rican metabolomics network.
We received a visit from Dr. Néstor Serna from CB-DAL / Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María as part of a collaboration with Professor Beatriz Cámara.
Douglas represented our group at V LAMPS Montevideo 2024. Douglas introduced IQ, a molecular network-based chemical novelty index for prioritizing samples using untargeted metabolomics
Johana participated in the National Congress of Microbiology, Parasitology and Clinical Pathology. Johana presented the ongoing work on antifungals produced by Pseudonocardia.
